Different Light Sources

This task was to simply find different light sources around the University building, and to be able to see the different effects it had on the image.

The first image taken, is in the studio with a fluorescent bulb, it has a very daylight feel and quite a flattering light source. The next images are those we went to find around the building.

To take the first image, we didn't travel very far as we went next door and placed Sara with two Apple Mac screens on her, the image has a very cold feel to it. Although the image was taken in a room with a lot of windows in, so the image has some daylight cast in to it aswell, without this light, I feel the image would of been a little more blue, and cooler.

This image, was taken out on one of the University corridors, the light was above Sara's head and has a very warm, flattering tone.

This next image, for some reason won't upload properly and is always coming out blurry, although it isn't on the actual photograph, so apologies about that I don't know how to stop it. But the image was simple taken in the darkroom under the red light, making the image very obviously red, but with quite a nice effect, and makes the image look like we used a filter on the camera.

This next image was taken in the lift, the lighting was fluorescent, and directly above her head. The light has a very cold effect, and the fact that there is a mirror in the lift also, made it very bright, and very similar to daylight

This image was taken in simple daylight, with a window in front of her with the light bouncing back.

This final image was taken using one of the spotlights at the reception, at the front of the University building. The light is very warm, and quite flattering. The light was coming from above, therefore a pretty harsh shadow was cast under Sara's chin and nose.
