Alien/Foreign Environment

Okay so my first idea for this part of the brief was to photograph a part of the area that I live in, The Ribble Valley, that was strange and almost doesn't fit in. My first thoughts for this was Castle Cement. Which is an industrial site in the middle of the countryside. It was difficult to find a place where you can see it from this angle, but i manages to find one. Although in this photograph there are a lot of twigs in the way that ruin the photograph, but I worked all week and wanted to make a start. So really this was just a tester for the photograph and I wanted to try out some HDR work. I downloaded a program called photomatix .. which generates HDR images for you very easily, and it did! So I was quite impressed although not thoroughly happy with the image, I like the style of it and will be shooting this shot again, trying to avoid the twigs somehow .. which may prove difficult as I cant get in the field past the hedges, but I will try. Also it will have a different effect as there will no longer be snow on Pendle Hill, which I would like to actually keep as I like the cold look it gives the image. This image doesn't look as good on the blog the HDR doesn't look as effective as it does on my screen :( so apologies about that.
